This place is great! It's like being in NY or a pastry shop (aka Bar) in Sicily. I've been to both. They have Carrtocci, Iris, Sfinci and ricotta flown in from Sicily. The owners are super nice and generous. The only bad thing is that this guy who grew up in Sicily now lives in Jupiter and will be putting a lot of miles on my lease driving to Boynton for a taste of home. THANK YOU SIGNORA !

It's a true Italian Bakery where you are treated like family! I love bringing the kids here after a party at Chuck E.Cheese next door. We order cookies, biscotti, cappuccino and a SOPRANO! That's a cinnamon-sugar rolled donut, filled with cannoli cream. O.M.G! They also have wonderful live music (for the older crowd) on the weekends. My parents Love it!!! For the holidays, we buy our kids' teachers a pile of biscotti from here and they always flip out! Such a delicious treat for any occasion.

Finally a Real Italian bakery in Florida!!! I love this place, so yummy! I always have to stop by every time I'm in town! The pastries are awesome and the rice balls were so good! I wish they would open up a store in Orlando!

HOW MUCH ? HOW MUCH IS THAT PASTRY BEHIND THE WINDOW ? Let's sing along to the tune ... how much is that doggy in the window .. bow wow What are the owners thinking or not thinking. How hard is it stick in little price tags ? Maybe, they are ashamed or think that they will collect more or no one is really concerned about prices. Both, The Boys and Carmines are upfront and show their number$. No mysterie$ Anyone else hate asking over and over Forget this place, like they forgot

I called to ask about cakes and the lady was rude and seemed pissed when I asked if they had a red velvet cake.... After saying they open at 9 she quickly hanged up on me while I was in the middle of saying thank you...

The worst Italian bakery I've ever tried. The cake I bought tasted like cardboard and the cookies my friend bought were no better than a box of supermarket cookies. The person that assisted us apparently was very busy although we were the only customers in the store because she was seriously impatient and short with us. Guess I'll just have to keep baking!

I grew up in NJ where the know how to make crumb cake. I have lived in LA for over 20 years and there are some reasonable substitutes but nothing as good as Palermo's Bakery. The cheese Danish are also pretty fantastic - but it's the crumb cake! The LA guy doesn't need to go north for a fix anymore!

This bakery was recommended to me for a custom cake. I sat down with the baker (for custom cakes) 3 weeks before my sons Bar Mitzvah to go over exactly what I wanted. I thought I was in good hands and would get a great product. Was I wrong! The delivery driver dropped it off so fast without saying a word, I took one look and was so disappointed. It was done so unprofessional. It looked like it was thrown together very quickly and not by a professional cake baker. This cake was used as the centerpiece for the candlelighting ceremony...I was so embarrassed. I called the bakery and talked to owner/manager and all she could say was you paid $225 for the cake, this was supposed to be a $400 cake...huh? I didn't make the prices, I told them what I wanted and they gave me a price. Absolutely no compassion. Do not order any custom cakes from this bakery, I do not want anyone to be as disappointed as I was for such an important occasion. Could have went to Publix and probably would have been happier!

This place sucks! they act like they are doing you a favor by taking your order very rude. Desserts are old, I bought a cheesecake and a few eclairs. Nasty publix has better quality.

Mmmmmm, Italian pastries. I grew up in NYC eating the best of the best, and now I live in Austin where there is limited access to such deliciousness. While visiting Boynton Beach I did a little Yelp search, and was not disappointed in Palermo. The staff was very friendly and gave me a free delicious marzipan cookie to try. I was blown away by it! We also had an eclair, a cannoli cream filled puff, and a chocolate coconut molten mini cake. I should have picked up some of their phenomenal looking breads and biscotti as well. Next time for sure!

If you are familiar with NY little Italy, you will love Palermo's! Butter cookies melt in your mouth, NaPoleon are creamy and sweet, Connoli are made fresh with real ingredients! Must go & try!

their desserts are insane and they have very cool happenings on their outside patio in the evenings. I really like this place.

I bought a tiramisu cake here for a friend's birthday party a few months back. The cake was huge, fresh and absolutely delish! There were rave reviews from all the guests and the whole thing was devoured in a day. They sell lots of cute Italian pastries here. The owner let me sample this mini blueberry tart and I almost died. The crust was crisp and sweet, the custard a creamy goodness and the blueberries perfectly ripe. I will definitely use this place from now on when buying sweet delectables for any sort of engagement. Unfortunately, they are closed on Monday so I had to go to a not so good bakery nearby yesterday and was so very disappointed with that bakery. But in turn, it has made me a loyal follower of Palermo's! Only took off one star because this place is cash only. Pretty inconvenient in a time when people don't typically carry cash around with them.

Bad service, I guess that's why it's empty...

What a disappointment. I had heard such great things about this place, but their customer service was deplorable. When we walked in during posted business hours, we stood and checked out some pastries and attempted to make eye contact with the 6-7 employees standing about chatting. Finally, one turned and said, "Sorry, we're closed." Previously, I had tried to order a cake through them. I found their cake prices had largely increased (from less than $30 to over $40 in a year). When I asked why, the girl retreated to the back, came back and offered a $6 discount. It was still too steep for me, but I wondered how many people overpaid for their cakes. Their products may be delicious, but they are mostly overpriced, and you probably won't get a smile while you're there. One guy said it best, must be why they're empty.

I ordered a whip cream strawberry choc cake. That was suppose to have three fondant. Designs. What a mistake the cake was nothing like I ordered it was green whip cream with buttercream hat purse and shoe no fondant on it then it had sill curlicues on it. What a waste of money it looked like a cheap cake not one that cost almost fifty dollars Be careful what you order from them. They can not read English directions I was so embarased I had to serve it since I had only fifteen minutes to be at the restaurant were I had fifteen people waiting to celebrate my birthday L kaufman

The Boynton/Delray area is severely lacking in traditional bakeries and this place must be reaping all the benefits. All the while bringing me back to the golden summers of my youth in Long Island, NY. We got some donuts, a couple slices of cheesecake and a red velvet cupcake, all good and for a great price.

We should have known when we walked in that it wasn't going to end well. Customer service was hideous. I asked a few questions about some of the pastries and the lady got mad like I was wasting her time(store was empty).Despite the poor customer service, we decided to give it a try. We were hoping that they didn't bake with the same attitude but they must. Food was as bad as the attitude.

I was on a mission to find a place that makes specialty cakes yesterday. One step in here and you won't go anywhere else. I was taken away by all the Italian pastries they have. Of course, my hubby had to get a box full of them to take home. I love the tiramisu from here. It was so light and fluffy. The chocolate dipped strawberry was super delicious as well. Chris is absolutely happy to find an Italian bakery that is only 5 minutes away from our house. Bring on the pounds ;)

My boyfriend brought me a few sweets back from this place because I love pastries. They were undeniably some of the worst things I ever had. The coffee cake was heavy and dense and tasted a year old. The cannoli was disgusting and filled with a gross, thick filling that seemed almost jelly-like. Maybe the ricotta was just really old??? Reaallly old? I didn't take more than one bite before I had to put this away. And by away, naturally, i mean into the garbage. The donuts were dense. I'm not even sure how to describe them- they were neither cake nor raised... they were just gross baked cakish-like dough. It's too bad because I had hoped to find a nice bakery around Boynton. I wish I had as good as food as these other reviewers seemed to think they had.

We ate dinner here last weekend and it was wonderful. Outside, Informal with a nice breeze. They had a musician singing Frank Sinatra's songs --- he was great. A delightful evening after a long week. Price was good and we could bring our own wine. It's paper plates, fixed menu and outside in August so no complaining --- you can't beat the price and everyone was nice:)

My favorite bakery in South Florida. We almost cried when this place was sold a few years ago, but it appears the original owners are back! Every time we visit Florida, one of our first stops is this place. My favorite is the chocolate cigars, my pregnant wife just adores their cannolis, and my mom loves the amazing eclairs. They also do gorgeous specialty cakes. I love this place!

It's hard to find a good bakery in Boynton Beach. The bread here is dry with a dense texture. The service leaves much to be desired. If it weren't that my husband likes their greasy doughnuts, I would never buy anything here. They do you a favor to wait on you and the management is unprofessional. No one is in charge.

Palermo's has the most gorgeous and delicious small pastries. We buy them every time we are invited to a dinner party (or host one at home) at they are always so well received. They are the best I have ever eaten!
